Appendix for the paper 9/56 Year Cycles: Earthquakes & Volcanoes


Kostoglodov & Pacheco (1999) gave a listing of the major Mexican earthquakes (mag =>6.5) during the 20th century. Of the 182 quakes listed  - 66 occurred in the 12 months ending December 31 of those 9/56  years presented in Table B this appendix, which was significant (p < .01). 

The researchers also presented a map of major earthquakes in southern Mexico. Of the 44 quakes noted on the map - 20 occurred in the year ended December 31 of those years Table C this appendix (significant p < .01).
